An education welfare official who installed secret spy cameras around a primary school to operate as a classroom peeping tom has been jailed for seven years. Adam Curnock, 31, used blue tac to fix a wireless pen camera under a sink or chair so he could covertly film up the skirts of youngsters either in class or going to the toilet. The predatory supervisor would arrive at school before classes began so he could set up the device before collecting it at the end of lessons and downloading films onto his home PC. He claimed it was the secrecy of spying that was gratifying to him. Further investigation revealed Curnock had 2,800 sick sexual images of children dating back four years but none were connected t

At Bolton Crown Court on Friday, Curnock, from Harwood, pleaded guilty to 33 charges including voyeurism, making indecent images of a child, sexual assault of a child , possessing indecent images of children, possessing prohibited images and possessing extreme pornographic images. The defendant said he was able to identify them [the children] and that he had a good relations with them and they trusted him. The crown point to an appalling breach of trust. Virginia Hayton, defending, said her client was remorseful and he was extremely sorry. Curnock was banned from working with children for life under a Sexual Offences Prevention Order and was ordered to sign the Sex Offender Register. Judge Timothy Clayson said he posed an imminent risk of causing serious harm to children.
